Building Bridges is an Art Festival using Photography and digital manipulation media to share our understanding and reflection of what it means to overcome and cross boundaries, metaphorically and physically. The images depict traversing symbolic bridges to a land without borders and obstacles- A land that belongs to all. The images represent ideas of unity, understanding, empathy, peace and friendship.
Walking in Someone Else’s Shoes is a Short Film Festival to explore the quote “Before you judge a man, walk a mile in his shoes.” from Mary T Lathrap’s poem. Participants created short films and animation reels to explore and present stories from varied cultures and lands. All the while showcasing the importance of empathy and the appreciation of multiple perspectives in order to create a truly global community.
