Visual Art

Visual Art at The British School New Delhi follows the National Curriculum at Key Stage 1, 2 & Middle Years, IGCSE at Key Stage 4 and IB at Key Stage 5. At each stage, learners are introduced to art making skills as well as creative and critical thinking. The curriculum is aligned to meet the academic rigour of the examination year groups while honing interests that manifest into creative careers. Teachers additionally incorporate cross-curricular projects along with additional learning opportunities such as those offered by partnerships with FOBISIA and Round Square among other national and global art events.

The Dramatic Arts at The British School New Delhi follows the National Curriculum at Key Stage 1, 2, Middle Years, IGCSE at Key Stage 4 and IB at Key Stage 5. At each stage, learners are introduced to performance and performance-making skills, creative and critical thinking, traditional and contemporary forms of theatre. The students are exposed to the study of theatre theorists and theories, through various masterclasses and workshops. The curriculum is aligned to meet the academic rigour of the examination year groups while honing interests that manifest into creative careers. Teachers additionally incorporate cross-curricular projects along with additional learning opportunities such as those offered by partnerships with FOBISIA, ISTA and Round Square among other national and global art events. Competitive performance exams such as the TRINITY and LAMDA exams are offered to students so that they can enhance their performance skills even outside the curriculum.
